Blues Traveler Lancaster Concert reviews
Don't stand upstairs next to the stage.
I used to work at revolution and have seen probably over 100 shows there, so I should have known better. We stood upstairs on the right side of the cage so we could be super close to the band. While it was visually the perfect spot, it was terrible from a sound standpoint. In this position, you are standing behind the main speakers that hang above the crowd, which I'd like to think was part of the problem. Overall, the music drowned out Potter pretty hardcore, and the drums were so loud we could barely hear the guitarist jam. I'd like to think the show was great, but our standing position really killed it for us. Why didn't we move? The venue was so overly packed, there was nowhere to go, and almost no way of physically moving anywhere. The other main challenge was that Blues Traveler took FOREVER to come on stage... I mean, nearly an hour after you would have expected them too... since this is an "all standing" venue, it meant we were exhausted and sore by the time they came on stage. I'd like to see them again in a better venue, but from this experience I wouldn't be able to recommend the show to friends.
